Whole Brain Development Programm
Whole Brain Development – The Outlook is Bright When Left Brain Meets Right Most brain development in children occurs primarily before the age of 14, with much of that development taking place in the first several years of life. Children retain significant “neuroplasticity”, meaning brain adaptability that allows growth and inter-connection of brain neurons. The Program is designed to develop the integrated and motoring functions from both sides of the brain. When children manipulate the beads of the Abacus, communication between the hands and the brain stimulates the brain’s right and left hemispheres. The right hemisphere – abstract side – creates an image memory of the beads on the Abacus while the left hemisphere – logical side – applies the requisite rules to perform the calculation.
Because the right hemisphere of the brain is much faster than the left. Scientific analyses indicate that abacus training can improve a child’s ability to:
Visualization
Concentration
Memory Retention
Memory Recall
Photographic Memory
Speed & Accuracy
Listening Skills
Abacus education improves the skills of Visualization (photographic memory), Concentration, Listening Skills, Memory, Speed, Accuracy, Creativity, Self Confidence, Self-Reliance resulting in Whole Brain Development. Abacus based Arithmetic functions, calculations thereof enhance Concentration levels. Abacus is an ancient calculating device that provides modern children with valuable mental stimulation and proficiency in mathematics.
But how can it accomplish all that, and so much more?
Our brain has two hemispheres, the left brain and the right brain. About 95% of our children use only the left brain, which provides the ability to analyze information concerning languages and sound. But the right side of the brain, which is focused on thinking, creativity and integration of information, needs to be used and stimulated as well. Learning to use the abacus can help develop this right brain/left brain integration.
When children use both hands to move abacus beads in arithmetic calculations, it stimulates cells in both the right and left sides of the brain. This results in quick, balanced whole brain development, leading to greater mental capacity. Using the abacus, a child can do all arithmetic calculations up to 10 digits without relying on an electronic calculator.
With Abacus, you can help your child achieve more than just math skills. You can boost your child’s confidence, provide a sense of achievement, promote intuitive thinking, enhance problem-solving capability, enhance creativity, and improve concentration and mental endurance.
How Abacus Helps In Brain Development
Human brain has two hemispheres, the left and the right brain. Left side of the brain has the ability to analyze the information given say learning, languages sound etc but cannot bring a solution to a problem if given. At the same time the right brain can visualize the problem and can come out with the solution. It is the creative side and has the capacity to find different solutions to one problem. The photographic image is just excellent.
For example if a person is meeting his classmate or friend after a gap of 20-25 years he/ she can remember the face though remembering the name is a difficult task. This is the beauty of right brain function.
While learning abacus children are able to imagine the abacus and do the calculations mentally by moving the beads in their mind. Since they use both the hands, for the operation both the sides of the brain function together to reach the expected result.
Why maths is media because accuracy can be seen only in maths.
Basic operations, of addition, ,subtraction, multiplication and division are taught through abacus.
It helps the children in their concentration, speed, accuracy, confident , logical and analytical skills, listening skills . That’s how we call abacus education is a brain development programme.
Benefits Of Abacus
In this generation, kids are more advanced in using technology and very keen on their studies. When someone asks a kid “what is the toughest subject?”, most of the answer will be “Mathematics”. Because it is the subject where logic and formulas were applied to get a solution to the problem, without the help of the brain, we cannot solve a problem. Abacus makes such kind of child to say that “Maths is the easiest one among all the others”. Sounds very great right!!!! Here come some of the benefits of learning abacus
Boosts Inventiveness
How does a child make a creative solution or something? Abacus is the solution, of course. Once a child learns how to solve a problem on their own using different methods, they are the odd man out among all. A problem in math has different ways to find a solution, the method may differ but the solution to the problem stays the same.
Speed And Accuracy
Most of them choose the smartest way which is shortcuts rather than the hardest one. When a little one struggles to find a solution to a problem, it might be somewhat difficult for them. Well, there’s no such thing as the abacus where one can solve the problem just like that, which will also increase the speed and accuracy in solving a problem.
Self-Confidence
Here comes the most important part, when a student solves a single math problem and the solution is the exact one at their first attempt, they feel like “I can do this, these are way easier to me”. This is what self-confidence sounds like. Abacus gives you that in solving the most difficult problems. Precisely nothing can beat this self-confidence seed once it is planted inside them.
Observing And Listening Skills
These are the most important and much-needed skills for a student to understand something that might be a game or their studies. When they find something interest they’ll observe it for sure and when they do they’ll listen and when they listen they’ll find that thing easier than anything else. Therefore Abacus is such a kind of “Interesting” thing.
Reduces Stress
What is stress? Why does this stress thing happen in kids? Well, children can also feel stressed and frustrated when something that they wish doesn’t happen. The same will happen in math too. Abacus is an easier thing that reduces stress in solving problems. When a student understands that abacus is an easy thing, they solve problems very fast, hence no place for “Stress” word.
Concentration
The term which is main in maths, of course in other subjects too, but mainly in maths. None can solve the problem without concentrating. As it is mentioned, Abacus is an easier way for calculation, it will attract someone to towards it. Once a child shows some interest, they find it easy, they concentrate and solve the problems. All they need is to concentrate.
How Abacus Help Children In School?
Children over a period of one year develop the basic skills say concentration, logical and analytical thinking, speed, memory, listening skills, accuracy, memory and confidence. This helps them in their day today studies in the class room or in any other hobby they pursue.Children spend lesser time in their studies as well as their day today activities due to the speed they get by doing abacus program.
Kids don’t require no extra help or tuitions due to their listening skills, memory and confidence. They are able to concentrate in any task they take.Competitive exams are cake walk for these children.Children are able to visualize the solution to any problems.
Is Abacus Worth Learning?
Yes. the answer is always Positive.
The next question is What is abacus ?
Abacus is a tool which helps a child to learn the basic mathematical operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.Learning abacus help both the sides of the brain work together efficiently.Trained thoroughly it enables a child to do the mental calculation without using the fingers or an electronic device.
Mathematics is a subject which always is a nightmare for children whose concepts are not clear.Learning abacus help the children become thorough with mental arithmetic calculation which in turn improves the concentration, speed, confidence level, logical and analytical thinking and visualization skills.
Mental arithmetic learnt through abacus is a life time skill for a child
